Susan Holtmeulen – Principal BAS Agent & Founder
With over 15 years of hands‑on bookkeeping experience, Susan brings depth, steadiness and genuine care to every client relationship. She pairs formal qualifications: Graduate Certificate in Business, Cert IV in Bookkeeping & Accounting, BAS Agent Registration, Xero Advisor | Xero Payroll, XBert Advisor, Syft Annalytics Advisor, with a calm ability to translate complex data into clear, confident decisions.
Having worked across a wide range of industries, Susan adapts quickly to each client’s operational style and growth stage. A proud career highlight has been building QiBalance from a solo practice to a cohesive team of five, while supporting clients with revenues surpassing $6M. She credits the smooth expansion to intentional communication and the power of women’s peer circles that model collaborative leadership.
As Principal BAS Agent, Susan’s passion is making business data meaningful for small to medium enterprises by spotting patterns early, protecting cash flow, and removing the “numbers stress” that keeps owners up at night.
Perth‑based, Susan has two sons, a daughter in-law and a very cute grandson, plus a lively collection of chickens and an abundant veggie patch. Outside the ledger you’ll find her cooking, hiking local hills, or practicing Italian.
Yuka Leno – BAS Agent & Senior Bookkeeper
Yuka is a self-motivated Professional Bookkeeper and BAS Agent who helps small to medium sized businesses gain clarity and confidence in their operations, finances and compliance. With over 20 years of experience in financial management within a family business (yes, she started very young 😊), she has also worked across a diverse range of industries.
Yuka has experience with complex files and transactions, one involved sending over $2M to an offshore account, in a timely manner for a resources company.
Yuka has a Bachelor of English Literature in Japan, Medical Administration certificate as well as a Japanese private teaching certification. She is a certified Bookkeeper and BAS Agent and has completed an Advance Diploma in Accounting and. Bachelor of Commerce (major in Accounting). Yuka is a member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) and is certified as a Xero Payroll Specialist and Xero Advisor (Level 2).
She has a strong sense of community and supporting others any way that she can: from creating a Japanese mother’s group after becoming a parent, to organising fundraising to support tsunami victims in Japan, Yuka listens carefully to people’s needs and responds with calm, care, and love.
When she is not working, you can mostly find her at the gym! She also enjoys exercising, walking, skiing and cooking.
Yuka has called Perth home for more than 25 years. Yuka lives with her husband and 2 sons, 1 dog, and 10 Koi fish.
Geraldine Mandin – Certified Bookkeeper
Geraldine brings a calm, meticulous presence and a genuine desire to help, shaped by her early ccareer in immunology research where precision, disciplined documentation and pattern-spotting were daily practice.
She started bookkeping to help her husband’s business in 2022. After discovering Xero, and how much she enjoyed it and the flexibility and simplicity it brings, Geraldine decided to change careers. A Scientist at heart with an analytical lens, she supports business growth with clear reconciliations, tidy files and quietly proactive communication. She completed her Certificate IV in Bookkeeping & Accounting in 2026 and is certified in Xero Advisor | Xero Payroll | Syft Analytics Advisor. She has published scientific papers (under her maiden name), underscoring her commitment to evidence-based thinking.
A standout early achievement: in her first Bookkeeping role she reconciled months of backlogged transactions and recovered thousands of dollars stalled with a supplier, using patient, persistent follow-up. Geraldine also invests deeply in professional growth, illustrated by completing a 900-page two-volume work on Emotional Intelligence, applying those insights to empathetic client conversations and change management.
She helped a QBB client understand and be in control of their data across multiple entities, creating a cashflow that gave clarity for actions to consolidate and sustain businesses.
Geraldine implemented Xero Management Report Packs across the QBB team, to help clients understand their numbers and reinforce decisions, that sustain growth in their business, following the QBB Mantra: “Making business data meaningful.”
Her ethos is simple: translate numbers into clarity, create orderly financial rhythms, and reduce stress that owners can feel around “unfinished” accounts.

Will Parker – Certified Bookkeeper & Cyber Warden
Will is a certified bookkeeper with 1 year of hands‑on bookkeeping experience (and prior exposure through study and volunteer administration) who brings sharp analytical curiosity and a calm, reassuring manner to every file. Equipped with a Cert IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping, Xero Advisor | Xero Payroll, and a Cyber Warden certification, Will couples technical accuracy with a people‑first mindset, helping small business owners move from frazzled to assured.
An early standout achievement: rapidly reconciling several months of domestic and international transactions for a not‑for‑profit. They were busy untangling multi‑currency and GST nuances under tight time pressure so the organisation could report with confidence. Will also contributes to the QiBalance blog, shaping clear, plain‑language articles on payroll, tax and GST, and isn’t afraid to form a thoughtful, well‑reasoned opinion (especially on payroll tax compliance).
Will’s background includes volunteer retail work (op‑shop), studies in politics and gender, and an award‑winning essay that honed persuasive, structured communication. These skills are now channelled into explaining numbers without jargon.
Based in Perth with family, a much‑loved dog, and a bookcase that’s “half library, half aspiration,” Will can usually be found reading (or planning to), and exploring music across genres.
Lisa Allegretta – Certified Bookkeeper & BAS Agent
Lisa brings 9 years of financial administration and bookkeeping experience: 7 years dedicated bookkeeping plus 2 years prior specialising in accounts payable and payroll. A former small business owner in the building & construction industry, she understands firsthand the juggling act of operations, cash flow, compliance and people. As a result, her support is always practical, empathetic and grounded in real‑world pressures.
Lisa’s blend of formal finance, systems and logistics qualifications: Cert IV Bookkeeping & Accounting, Registered BAS Agent, Xero Advisor | Xero Payroll | Xero Migrate, Cert IV Warehousing & Logistics, sharpens her process thinking and attention to detail.
Lisa thrives on complex data puzzles; what overwhelms others feels like a solvable mystery to her. A recent standout achievement for Lisa was conducting a deep investigation for a valued client. She processed 12 months of incorrect transactions across three entities and produced a clear report that restored accuracy and confidence.
Lisa values her ability to move owners from overwhelmed to in control, creating clean, comprehensible financial foundations and calm, repeatable admin routines.
Perth‑based, Lisa relaxes with her husband and five children by reading, watching sport or heading outdoors to camp under Western Australian skies.
